Test offers insight into future success in military occupations
With over 4,000 different occupations in today’s military, choosing a career path can be rather confusing. That’s why the U.S. Department of Defense developed the ASVAB Career Exploration Program.
Intended for use by sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school, the free program with no strings attached provides tools to assist high school students in exploring various careers and planning for their futures.
Utilizing eight individual tests covering verbal and math skills, mechanical
knowledge, electronics and several other areas, the program produces career exploration scores that serve as an aid in career possibilities.
The scores are good for two years and may be used to enlist in the military after graduation. Students who take the tests are in no way obligated to join the military.
